Women's reproductive health, especially for conditions like Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS), is a massively underserved arena of health. Women like Rachel Blank know this firsthand. Even with a parent in the field of medicine, finding the right care and support for her own PCOS diagnosis presented her with more challenges than solutions. Through her own journey with PCOS, Rachel came to found Allara Health: the first end-to-end, customized virtual care program for those aiming to learn how to manage their condition. At Allara, patients are paired with a physician who specializes in PCOS, along with a Registered Dietitian (RD) to help with optimizing patients' nutrition. On the platform, you can get everything from prescriptions, to meal plans, to around-the-clock chat/support with your RD.
In today's show, we're talking about Rachel's journey from her PCOS diagnosis to creating Allara, warning signs of PCOS, dietary management, red flags within the health/wellness space, and the gaps in the women's reproductive health space.
