What is healthy digestion? What does it feel like? Should we really "normalize bloating?" How do you know if something is off with your digestion? Should we all be taking a probiotic? How can you promote healthy digestion without breaking the bank?
Sooooo many important questions surrounding digestive health, and today I'm sitting down with Alyssa Tyler, Registered Dietitian, to talk about all of it.
Alyssa Tyler is a registered and licensed dietitian residing in Cape Coral, Florida. Originally from Cleveland, Ohio, Alyssa received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Spanish from John Carroll University and her Masters of Science in Nutrition & Dietetics from Kent State University. She completed her year-long dietetic internship through Priority Nutrition Care of Boston, MA. Clinical experience was gained working at the Cleveland Clinic specializing in transplant surgery, bariatric nutrition, diabetes/kidney disease, and weight management. Alyssa continued to work in an outpatient setting for an integrative health division for 3 years prior to making the decision to branch off independently in 2018. For 3 years, Alyssa was the lead RD for T4E Systems helping hundreds of women undergoing struggles with GI disorders, hormonal imbalances, and metabolic resistance. To further her education, Alyssa is currently enrolled in a 1-year mentorship with Nutrition Dynamic to achieve her functional nutrition certification and continues to work independently with clients all over the world. Outside of work, you'll find her weight training, enjoying the outdoors and beaches of Florida, and trying out new restaurants.
