I get asked all the time "how I'm so confident in being myself." It honestly makes me sad that this is a common question, because isn't that what we all should be confident in being? Today's show was inspired by a conversation with a friend about standing strong in yourself, and it turned into an episode about some of my story and how I developed self confidence.
TOPICS:
-The conversation with a friend that inspired this episode
-Why we are biologically programmed to want and need acceptance from others
-Why we're more afraid of public speaking than death
-Starting my fitness journey/my fitness social media and getting mocked/bullied by my peers from my high school
-Learning the lesson of growing strong in myself and who I am
-Being a "floater" in high school and never really fitting in with a particular group or clique
-Going from being a "chameleon" to fit in with groups to being more confident in simply being myself
-Spending time alone and without many friends, and how that taught me focus and self-discovery
-Our own unique gifts
-Cultivating confidence through critcism
-Closing notes
